Amazon Peak Season Account Checklist: Getting Ready for Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Black Friday and Cyber Monday (27–30 November in 2026) are among the busiest weeks of the year for Amazon sellers. When sales accelerate, an account warning or a suspension can stop your ad budget and your inventory at the moment they are worth the most. The good news is that a large part of the risk can be reduced with a short check before the season starts.

Why check before peak season?

Resolving a warning before the season is far easier than trying to resolve it in the middle of the season with your account suspended. Replying to Amazon properly takes time: you need to gather documents, understand the root cause and take corrective steps. No honest consultant can promise an outcome, but a prepared account can respond faster and more clearly when something goes wrong.

The four checks below cover the problems we see most often when working with sellers. Together they take about 10 minutes.

1. Are there open warnings or violations in Account Health?

In Seller Central, open Performance > Account Health and look for any open warning, policy violation or notification that is close to its deadline. Also check whether metrics such as order defect rate, late shipment rate and cancellation rate are within their target ranges.

  • If a notification is waiting for your response, answer it before the season begins.
  • Postponing or ignoring a warning can turn it into something more serious in the middle of peak season.
  • To learn how to monitor these metrics, read our guide on Amazon Account Health.

2. Are your brand invoices and authorization documents up to date?

For every brand you sell, make sure you have your supplier invoice and, where needed, an authorization document from the brand owner. When an authenticity or intellectual property complaint arrives, these documents are usually the foundation of your reply.

  • Invoices should be readable, supplier details clear and dates consistent.
  • Documents must match your own records (purchase and stock records). A document that does not match can do more harm than none.
  • We explain which invoices are accepted in Amazon Invoice Requirements and cover authorization letters in What Is a Letter of Authorization (LOA)?.

3. Are your ID, address, bank and contact details up to date?

Outdated information is one of the most common reasons sellers get stuck in verification. Before the season starts, check that:

  • Your identity and business documents have not expired and match your account details exactly.
  • Your address and billing address are current.
  • Your bank account and payment details are correct.
  • The email address and phone number that receive Amazon notifications are current. Missing a notification means missing the response window.

4. Is there brand or IP risk in the products you plan to list?

Expanding your catalog before peak season is tempting, but products added in a hurry are where brand complaints, copyright issues and restricted-category problems appear most often. Seeing a product's risk before you list it costs far less than receiving a warning afterwards.

This is where ASIN Fetcher helps. Built by SuspendSupport, this Chrome extension helps you catch risky products in the ASINs you scan before you list them; with its filters you can flag risky products or leave them out of your results.

The 10-minute summary

  1. Any open warnings or violations in Account Health?
  2. Brand invoices and authorization documents up to date?
  3. ID, address, bank and contact details up to date?
  4. Any brand or IP risk in the products you plan to list?

If something does go wrong

A pre-season check reduces risk, but it does not remove it. If your account is suspended, what you do in the first day shapes everything that follows: read the notification carefully, save your evidence and do not rush to send an incomplete appeal. At SuspendSupport, every case is reviewed by a specialist and every response is written by a person. We do not promise outcomes, because no honest consultant can, but we can help you understand the situation and respond properly.
